Docrates soldier (Saint Seiya) Custom Action Figure

Here is the Docrates soldier! faithful minions of Docrates, sporting more or less the same armour but in dark colours. These troopers did have a vintage figure made, but it was only a small statue given with a playset. Too obscure to be made into official figure, hence customizing kicks in. Used as much Myth Cloth parts as possible and the rest sculpting.

Chimera Masters of the Universe Classics custom figure

Here is Chimera, a monster used by Count Marzo in the Filmation cartoon. I used a Sabretooth marvel legends so he stands slightly taller than a MOTUC, and still looks good for style among the Classics figures. I made a bonus wolf-bat, which was most probaby the more difficult part of this custom. Inspired by the MOTUC visions artwork.

Aracne Tarantula anime accurate Myth Cloth saint seiya custom figure

This is my third Aracne Tarantula, trying to make a definitive version, bulky yet strong, and trying to get the same colours as the anime, as it changes quite a bit from image to image. I used a wrestler body which seemed perfect for the job. Head is a Gear beki casted, and original myth cloth hands.

Envy (Darksiders) Custom Action Figure

Here is Envy, one of the villains in the videogame Darksiders. I was customizing most of the roster last year. This one was one of the most tricky customs I had to do, as adding the arms, doing the interchangeable hands, weapons, cloak, was superbly complex. A custom like this one needed a lot of inkings and this is what I did here.

The Candyman (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure

Here is the Candyman! a character that made some brief appearances in the Flash, one of those mob-leaders which very rarely makes it to action figure form. The fun in here is his candy-shaped baton. He was supposed to be very muscular, and wearing suit, the options were very limited. I saw Mr Fixit as a perfect base figure, and even if I had some difficulties finding it, I found one (albeit if he had two left legs, which wasn't supposed to when I bought it, and had to adjust that too!). Most complex was creating his candy stick.

Brother Grimm (Flash) Custom Action Figure

Another Flash villain, this time one with quite a few appearances in the DC Universe. An interesting detailed design, gives me vibes of a Thor enemy. I thought about using Hobgoblin but was a bit overpriced so used a Dr Strange with a jackal head, which was just perfect. Did some inkings and added real chain and silver thread. I took some time to finish it looking for something stamped to do his armour, in the end a cooking mat was perfect. Most complex was getting right the inkings on the face, which is always tricky. Reminds me of a amalgam between Malekith and Hobgoblin lol.

Paradox DC (Flash) Custom Action Figure

Here is Paradox, not the Ben 10 character :) , but a one-issue villain of the Flash. Nevertheless he was a very cool character, time-manipulating villains have always been some of my favourites. I used a Patriot toybiz with wolverine head and dr. strange arms, plus iceman hands. Did his staff out of molten plastic.

Dark Flash (DC Multiverse) Custom Action Figure

Here is the Dark Flash! a cool version of the Flash I was asked to do. To get all the style and power, I chose a captain america ML, as this also allowed him to get in more extreme running poses. I tried painting some effects, to try and get the strange dark effect on his suit.

Captain Boomerang classic (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure

Here is classic Captain Boomerang, a character missed by Mattel all these years. I mean, sure, he is goofy but very iconic at the same time :) . Done mostly with my last Dr Midnite (after having bought two dozens from China many years ago) and other bits.

Just Imagine Flash (Stan Lee creation) (Flash) Custom Action Figure

Yes, Stan Lee did a collaboration with DC; and created this character, as bizarre as that might sound :) . From it came this rather unique version of the Flash, which I have always seen as very striking. This custom was dead complex, basically because I chose to use quite unsuitable base figure :) . Yes, I used a movie Harley Quinn as I had it in hand and she was basically white, so hence I went sanding and re-sanding, and dissolving the original paint application, to avoid having to cover it with endless layers of paint. I must say I am very happy with the result, as at many points I feared the result wouldn't be good enough. I also airbrushed her to avoid paint rub and having a nicer application. Colour strands made out of molten plastic.

Weather Wizard DCUC (DC Universe) Custom Action Figure

This is Weather Wizard, another character overlooked by manufacturers, at least in 6" scale. I used a Deadman DCUC to make it in good style with the rest of the collection. Most difficult was doing the electric effect.
