Red Ghost (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

This time a easy custom, Red Ghost. Classic villain a bit out of it's time now, but a good sample of all the myriad of communistic villains that plagued comicbooks in the 50s-70s!. Typical recipe of Baron Zemo, with lex luthor head.

 

Shogun Samurai Red Ranger (S.H. Figuarts) Custom Action Figure

Here is the Shogun Samurai Red Ranger! never done before in 6", the SH Figuarts stopped short of making the final transformation of this ranger. Done over the regular version of the Ranger. Curiously, Bandai switched to do their rangers on 4" instead of the usual 6" for that season, a huge mistake. Anyway, most complicated was to adjust and do the weapon properly. 

 

 

Snakemounder (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 This is Snakemounder, living embodiment of Snake Mountain! inspired by a custom made by AC Toys (which was I think inspired by a fanart). I adapted a bit to my style, and gave it a cooler name (Snakemountainman sounds a bit on the dumb side :P ). This was a complex custom, with loooots of sculpting, basically, just about everything (even his snake head, that I think on the original was a spare King Hsss head, but I didn't have it so had to sculpt it too).

He has a sort of "fragglerock" 80s feel to it :) . Hope you enjoy seeing it!

Frightzor (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 Behold, the living embodiment of the Fright Zone! based on a fanart by Bootleg I believe, I think this fanart came to be after all the hype of Castle Grayskullman. Anyway, a interesting concept, I think works better as a figure than a playset!.

This one was a complicated fellow to make. Lots of molten plastic and sculpting were needed. I tried to make him slightly larger than a MOTUC, to make it look more impressive.

Black Dragon Armour (Power Rangers) Custom Action Figure

This is the Black Dragon Armour :) . A very cool concept, I think from comics, armouring the Yellow Mighty Morphin Ranger. Made on commission. I struggled looking for a good base figure, and found one very suitable in Hong Kong, which had good, similar proportions. All the same it required much sculpting everywhere, to beef it up. I casted the Yellow Ranger head to ensure it was spot on. Most complicated was engineering the tail, which is poseable.

 

Hyper Shinken Princesses Power Rangers (S.H. Figuarts) Custom Action Figure

Here are the Hyper Shinken Princesses :) . They were announced and meant to be released a few years ago, but Bandai never did it, and hence the customizer is needed to save the day :) . This is the special version with long robes, and hence the custom work here was swapping the coats of the male rangers and making everything fit nicely and poseable, dremelling around and making it look everything as factory made.

 

Admiral Scurvy MOTUC Custom action figure Filmation Motu He-Man She-ra Evil horde

Here is a recent custom, Admiral Scurvy :) , latest finished & received custom. A not so known Filmation character, enemy of She-Ra and member of the evil horde. A interesting and refreshing subject. To achieve his slim looks, we used a Mattel wrestler, that gives him height but keeps him from being a powerhouse. Made with all extras, as in the popular MOTUC visions fanarts that go round the net.

 A character I've been at the point of doing many times, but never had done till last year. This version is very cool, and the extra strong body suits him very well, as well as the modern Hasbro style.

With alternate head, using a cast of DC green lantern head.

Rataro Thundercats Origins Custom Figure MOTU Ratar-O LJN Mumm-ra mutant evil villain action

One of my first "Origins" customs :) , Ratar-O! following the style of the new MOTU line (sad that Thundercats only gets an absurd cartoon like Roar, and MOTU two full cartoons!).

Anyway, even if it doesn't look like it, there is a Beastman Origins under all that sculpting :) . It was a complicated custom, but I managed to pull it off in quite good time.

Celestial Dragon God Goku Dragon Ball Absalon custom figure

This is the Dragon God Goku Celestial, as he appears on fanmade Dragon Ball Absalon! Dragon Ball Absalon is a fanmade spin off of Dragon Ball, made on animated YouTube short episodes, check it out as is quite cool ;) , far better than official Super. Anyway, I based on a videogame render to do this version, made over an official Gogeta SH Figuarts. Most complicated aspect was to sculpt the hair and paint it, as well as the various intricate mystical layers of skirts he wears.

Sea Horse Baian battle damage EX Custom Figure Saint Seiya Myth Cloth

This is my custom of Baian Sea Horse, in damaged version. I was asked to do a battle damage custom, using the new EX figure. It was very difficult to chip away and damage the sturdy diecast parts! I needed all my heavy equipment, even resorting to hammers to try and dent it and inflict the damage I wanted! I then used black marker to make the smaller cracks.
