War Machine Alien Armour (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

One of the most 90s things to ever have existed... War Machine in Alien Armour! I was blown away when I learnt this was a thing back on it's day. But it's not just 90s, it's so cool, and imaginative, too. Not sure of the storyline, but indeed it left a design to be remembered. One of my favourite customs this year. I recommend you google the original design because it's something from another world.

A true headache to replicate all of this in action figure form indeed.

 

Grim Ghost (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

An obscure custom, and I am used to make obscure custom, but this is certainly obscure. The Grim Ghost, of a short lived indie comics of the early 80s. A sort of dark superhero, before dark superheroes were a thing. Basically a concoction of dozens of MLs, mostly a Cyclops AoA.

 

Dr Fate (Khalid Nassour) (DC Multiverse) Custom Action Figure

 Here is the new Dr. Fate, an egyptian called Khalid Nassour. I've done the variant with sneakers :), which is always fun. I've got to recognize - this new design is certainly different. Looks more like an ancient iteration of Dr. Fate but still cool nevertheless.

Revelation Marvel Legends custom figure Apocalypse X-Men mutant comic action

 Here is a very fresh custom, Revelation, the "successor" of Apocalypse! always refreshing to do something new of the comic book world. Painstakingly sculpted cowl, more complex part of this custom was his odd coat, fitting it was tough. Hope you all like it ;) .

Classic Dr. Druid (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

 Here is my version of classic Dr. Druid, just as he appeared in the early 80s when he became an Avenger. During this time, his cloak was very profuse. This time I went for a more proportionate, and older head. Guess who donated his head :) .

Leonardo da Vinci (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

 Here there is a rather different custom, Leonardo Da Vinci as seen by the Marvel Universe! I was unaware he was a "Marvel" character until not long ago. Most complex was to do his wings, and his hand controller. A nice challenge to deviate from the usual spandex superheroes!

Deathurge (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

Here is a classic of days gone by customizing, Deathurge. Simple in principle but you had to choose the right parts. I went with a Havok, and toybiz Moonknight cloak, weapon made from scratch. Head carefully sculpted to look like the comic book.

Havok (Chuck Austen compendium) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

Was asked to do another Havok, this time a compendium of his most remarkable features during the Chuck Austen run, a sort of definitive Havok. So quite a bit of sculpting, unlike my previous Havok, and more complexity overall. To be fair nearly most difficult was to find the base body, was asked to use that Black Panther, and it was just nearly impossible to find, it has become very rare, and couldn't find it among so many other Black Panthers that weren't suitable for the job.

Here it is Renee Montoya as The Question II. A rather shocking development of the DC Universe! done as in the Watchtower comic mini series, in Marvel Legends style. I had to scratch build her rifle, as I was unable to find one looking the same.

Silver Scorpion (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

 Here is the Silver Scorpion, in her 90s costume. A very cool character really, much better than her first costume that was hardly silver, nor scorpionish. Done with a Jocasta to avoid paint rub basically.

 

 

Warbow Marvel Legends Crystar remco custom figure

 Here is Warbow, ally of Crystar! done in Marvel Legends style as Crystar... I have to say I was very surprised to see Crystar in Marvel Legends, and now it's only natural to make other characters in this style!

 Obviously clear figures are challenging, so I used a Radioactive Man - sorry, probably a collectors crime given how rare it is -. I applied a light blue shading so he looks more turquoise, like the vintage figure.

1100th custom - Ultra Green Goblin! (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure

 Behold! custom 1100th is here! a Green Goblin like you've never seen it before! this mean Ultra Green Goblin carries his wicked ways to the extreme, sporting chameleon colour changing paints (hues from green to purple with golden sparks), wild metal fully poseable whip, and translucent goblin glider!

I've been working for a long time on this one, on and of for about a year. I found out about the new chameleon paints, and I knew that it had to be the main feature for my landmark custom. Then, on a twist of fate I got a lot of fodder and in between the a barely started armoured Green Goblin custom... which inspired me to finish it and bring it to another level! Just as I was finishing the custom I found that cool metallic wire and I created his Goblin glider in clear plastic, and thought it would be cool to keep it at least slightly that way.

Nearly everything scupted in Green Stuff to give it elasticity, most complex was applying the chameleon paint... I had to apply up to 7 layers to get the desired effect! I've got to make a video to show properly how it changes the sheen when you move it around.

Some molten plastic covered in cotton makes the cool smoke effect that allows it to stand nicely, and can be taken out for more action poses.

I thought with so much Spidermen going around, one needs a Ultra Green Goblin! this malevolent Green Goblin has developed a ultra suit which enables him to travel through dimensions, and his crazed obsession has brought him to hunt all versions of Spiderman or related in the Multiverse!
