This is Walter "Doc" Hartford, one of the main characters of Galaxy Rangers. Was asked to do him over a Bravestarr body, which took vast amounts of sanding and cutting, and engineering to make his accesories fit. This is my second custom in this style. I was asked to do a Zachary Foxx, but in scale with Bravestarr figures.
The original vintage figures are quite hard to find now, and moreover
smaller, less articulated, bigheaded, etc.
Hence, this is made to fit perfectly among the Bravestarr line.
It
was complex to get the good likeness of the face. I moulded and casted
Bravestarr hat, and then modified it to make sure it fitted well. It was a nightmare to make a good looking hat!

This is Tex Hex, in cartoon style. Always shocked me how different were the figures from the cartoon! and by, relatively, later times. I am usually 95 % inclined to the cartoon, and this is no exception ;) . This is a short modification, not a complete custom job, just enough to get the general feel without having to sand, drill and turn it to a job of weeks rather than days.
