Fear-O v2 (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 This is my second version of Fear-O. I casted the head of my first one (as I happily have him in my collection still!) and more or less, same proceedings and recipe. Not much has changed in these last 15 odd years!

Tex Hex cartoon vintage version (Bravestarr) Custom Action Figure

 This is Tex Hex, in cartoon style. Always shocked me how different were the figures from the cartoon! and by, relatively, later times. I am usually 95 % inclined to the cartoon, and this is no exception ;) . This is a short modification, not a complete custom job, just enough to get the general feel without having to sand, drill and turn it to a job of weeks rather than days.

Spacehawk Secret Santa 2021 Custom Figure Vintage Pulp Marvel Legends style

This is Spacehawk ;) , for the Secret Santa event of the Fwoosh. The list was familiar.. as it was the last I got from the Summer Swap :) . Instantaneously I saw Spacehawk as my choice, such a cool character I never heard about! I think it is my favourite character I've done for a custom swap, and I have done quite a few! mysterious, different, stylish. Anyway, I researched to see how I could make him more special, and so made him with two heads, and two weapons, the one that he usually uses and a special one, which apparently he uses against larger monsters. 

Battlecat v2 Masters of the Universe vintage custom Filmation accurate MOTU He-Man cringer

This was my second version of the filmation version of BattleCat. This time I made a bit of sculpting to be more loyal, and tried to get closer to the true filmations colours of Battlecat, that is like most people remembers it and wants it to look (myself included, as a Battlecat without yellow eyes, is just not the same).

 This is Man-e-Faces, in Filamtion accurate version, using the head of the Super 7 MOTUC, which works rather well, in a trapjaw body.

 These are two very old vintage customs I made, He-Men cosmic enforcers ;) . 

Leo Faker Masters of the Universe vintage custom figure

This is Leo Faker, Faker as it was released in India. It has several light variations, such as Skeletor's extra armour and havoc staff, darker colours all around and a mysterious eyemask. These have become crazy rare, as most of them were destroyed when Mattel finished their contract with Leo Toys in India, so hence the need for a custom.

The most complicated part of this custom was casting the pieces in orange. I applied numerous coats of varnish to get a plastic feel.

Spektror Masters of the Universe vintage Fantastic Stars custom figure

This is a custom I wanted to do for a long time. This character was a 80s knockoff of Skeletor, from the line "Fantastic Stars" of 3.75 inches knockoffs of MOTU figures. On it's day, I had their version of Trapjaw. Their good thing was their slightly different redesign of all the characters, the bad thing is that the articulation broke very easily and that they were to small in comparison with the regular MOTU figures... both of which I have decided to solve with this custom.

This is Spektror, the alternate version of Skeletor in this universe. I resculpted completely his head(I made it over a Buzzoff head) and used a Triklops MOTUC armour slightly resculpted. 

Stingrey MOTU Vintage Masters of the Universe custom figure

Continuing to post all my MOTU customs, as I was asked by a fan. This time is Stingrey, inspired by another custom I found on He-Man.org. A evil counterpart of Buzzoff.

 

Fear-O MOTU Vintage concept pre-production custom figure Masters of the Universe He-Man Evil Horde

This is an old custom I never got round to post; Fear-O, as the preproduction character that Mattel never released. I used a head of a childhood mummy figure I had, which the body got lost, and it works wonderfully, as his original body was kind of smallish. The bandages are made with white plummer's tape. Last picture shows before bandages and painting.
