King Micah (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 Here is King Micah, father of Glimmer in the princess of power series. A recurring character, and a perfect candidate for a MOTUC custom figure :) . Done on order for a good client. Most complex was getting the arms right, as they were very tight and produced paint rub.

Baron Condore (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 And here is another very obscure MOTU character, Baron Condore, appearing in She-Ra's cartoon. Challenging again, due to it's size and looks.

After careful examination, I thought a Hulk wouldn't pass the cut, so I used another Marvel body. Armour made out of foamy.

Inspector Darkney (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 I have found a bit of time to share my latest customs ;) . This is Inspector Darkney, an obscure character appearing in She-Ra cartoon. A sort of inspector of Horde Prime, something very horde-esque :) .

I tried to get the best base figure, it was rather challenging as it needed to be MOTUC sized, but slim and skinny. I am very happy how he turned out, as it was a difficult custom to make look like the original.

Hunga the Harpy MOTUC (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

Another MOTUC, and a character which is rarely customized; Hunga the Harpy. One of those characters you never see in action figure form, for it's complexity I guess mainly. I was lucky to have a Queen Angella among my figures, as this was the idoneous base figure. I added wings of Angel, to make her more savage and imposing, a head from a female wrestler (I swear, it didn't need much modification :lol: ), and lower legs from a ninja turtle, although it might seem weird! I followed a MOTUC visions artwork, and hence I made the special laser weapon too.

Colonel Blast (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

Here is Colonel Blast, a classic in the custom world, but the first time I have attempted it :) . I was given the choice of doing him Filmation style or modernized Classics, and I went for a middle point, trying to get the best features of both. Lasers are mainly from a watering set :) . Made to be removable with some molten plastic. Head from a wrestler ,logo from Dragstor modified.

Melog (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

Here is Melog, a character that appeared in one episode of She-Ra :). But a interesting and memorable character nevertheless. A sort of magical mud golem created by Shadow Weaver. I made her a wooden-clay spear, so as to give some kind of accesory.

Tygra repaint (Thundercats Ultimates) Custom Action Figure

Here is a quick repaint I did for a collector friend of mine. For some reason Super7 decided to paint super reddish the regular figure of Tygra, in a hardly explanable movement. They also overlooked the small shoulder pad, and painted in a off, murky blue his mid torso, with sort of "smokeish" shadowings. Anyway, I customized to the rescue and repaint orange and blue, as it should have been.

Mirage cartoon version (COPS n' Crooks) Custom Action Figure

Here is Mirage, a character in the COPS n Crooks cartoon. As usual, the female characters were left out of the produced toy figure roster, even if she appears in many episodes. The client asked for a original COPS n Crooks figure as base, which is understandable, the complexity comes when no female was released in the line! So some frankensteinization was in order :) . Dr Badvibes is very thin and proved to be the best bet. Legs were taken from another character though, as still looked good and were identical. Head from a movie character, probably Aliens.

Streetwise (COPS n' Crooks) Custom Action Figure

Yet another unreleased COPS n Crooks character, and now I think I have made them nearly all. It seems they were quite sure that everything was going to continue, as they did a lot of prototypes. This one reminds me of GI Joe Topside, at least the face is almost identical!

Vowels (COPS n' Crooks) Custom Action Figure

Yet another prototype that sees the light of day for first time thanks to the noble art of customizing! Vowels helicopter specialist of the COPS n Crooks wave 2. I used a Highway as was very similar. Made his removable helmet and all extra gear.

Ironhammer (COPS n' Crooks) Custom Action Figure

 

Another COPS, this time a sort of canadian mounted policeman. In my opinion one of the coolest that didn't get made. It was very complex to do his accesories, I had to glue all sorts of left over parts I had. Also to create the hat was challenging. Now, someday I will do him in 3.75 to be compatible with Joes :)

Spider-Man Unlimited (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure cartoon

 

I was asked to do this Spider-Man Unlimited custom, to which I was well prepared having watched the series back on it's day and on a good few reruns :) . Not as good as the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon, but still rather iconic. Was asked to use a specific Spider-Man, and then I sculpted some details and repainted. Getting the highlights was the most complex thing! the client said he had back web, so I didn't make him any ;) .

Tex Hex cartoon vintage version (Bravestarr) Custom Action Figure

 This is Tex Hex, in cartoon style. Always shocked me how different were the figures from the cartoon! and by, relatively, later times. I am usually 95 % inclined to the cartoon, and this is no exception ;) . This is a short modification, not a complete custom job, just enough to get the general feel without having to sand, drill and turn it to a job of weeks rather than days.
