Fear-O v2 (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 This is my second version of Fear-O. I casted the head of my first one (as I happily have him in my collection still!) and more or less, same proceedings and recipe. Not much has changed in these last 15 odd years!

Opponent MOTUC (Pre-Flogg) (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 And there cannot be Battlebeard without his Opponent :) . Sadly lost to the sands of time his original name, the only one of his concepts that have been lost. Maybe one day it will emerge some document with a scribble, or maybe simply he never had one.

Clearly this concept evolved into Flogg, by the red colours and whip. Man is this version cooler than him! always thought Flogg was a bit on the corny side. Curiously, the second version of Flogg, Hook Em Flogg, has it's whip nearly identical! as if they tried to fix a bit the idea by going to the more original concept.

Anyway, nearly my favourite of the concepts. Curiously he sorts of have his suit pierced in several places, although himself is red like the suit or maybe a bit more orangey.

Here is King of Ash, a concept invented by AccustomFigures. I thought it was a very cool design, and hence here is my rendition. I made him a bit meaner looking, and gave him proper abs as I think is more fitting. Kickor with extensible leg (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

Here is Kickor, evil master of foot-kicking! lol. It sounds bad, but this nearly was a thing in the New Adventures era. Sadly, instead of a rather cool figure, we got I guess the two versions of Hoove, which are quite dysmal in all aspects. I stil remember some of my local shops having a Hoove unsold for about 10 years XD. Anyway, this concept was quite cool and MOTUesque, as it seems MAttel toyed with the idea of a kicking figure since very early on, like Fisto but with his foot. Sluggor (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure classics new adventures he-man

And here is Kickor nemesis, Sluggor! the Fisto of the New Adventures that never was produced. You can see vibes of him in Hydron's v2 version. Makes for a good MOTUC design I have to say, but probably if made in the same style of the NA would have been a poor figure all the same. Has a lot of Blade vibes to me! Made with MOTUC bits and a Wrestler's head. Most complex was fitting his central armour, using a top from a softener bottle! Moss Man Filmation accurate (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure

 

Here one of my latest customs, happily received in Chile lately, Moss-Man Filmation accurate. Was asked to do a Filmation Moss-Man, but this time I tried to improve on my last one, and I sculpted directly all my bits (on the previous I used Eternal Customs 3d printed parts). I think it came out better this way. I will remember this custom as possibly the most expensive base figure I've ever bought! I forked out about 100 $ for a MOTUC Stratos. Sledor MOTUC custom figure NA new adventures of he-man masters of the universe classics

This is Sledor, another early preproduction MOTU concept. Coincidentally, I had a custom of him made by another customizer, so I was quite familiar with the character. Most tricky was to make the missiles and missile launcher extensions, to which I took some inspiration from the custom I had from Shinigami PL if I remember correctly. 

In my opinion, Sledor is probably the best concept out of the 10 or so there are.

Vakko MOTU 200x Masters of the Universe Gbagok creation action figure Classics

 Here is Vakko, a character created by prominent fanartist "Gbagok". A very interesting concept, that completely seems taken out of the official lore. Made with a MOTU Classics base figure, which is kinda odd as he looks a bit skinny, but surely Mattel would have done him this way, were it to have been released officially. Adapted a bit the design to fit better the Classics line.

Battlebeard Masters of the Universe Classics New adventures of He-Man MOTU custom action figure

This is Battlebeard, a concept that evolved into Tuskador. You have to accept that the idea here was quite corny, and that Tuskador was arguably better. But still, is strikingly different and bizarre, and very MOTUesque in it's conception, having vibes from Man at Arms and Fisto.

Verte-braid MOTU Masters of the Universe Classics New Adventures of He-Man custom action figure

Here is Verte-Braid (Battlebraid), a concept character that would evolve into Mara supposedly. She was far cooler in my opinion! much more galactic and MOTUesque all round. 

I believe the name might have been coined by Gbagok, I am not sure.

CLASSIC SUPERMAN MOTU style He-Man Masters of the Universe vintage DC custom figure

Here is Classic Superman, in MOTU style! how would have been Superman if released by Mattel in the 80s under the Masters of the Universe toyline or style? 

THis is it in my opinion :) . 

Superman is fully in the MOTU universe as he's guest-appeared more than once with He-Man. 

He has a soft rubber head just as a MOTU would have had. Tried to get the cleanest paints apps possible.

Bug Eye MOTU Classics custom figure

This is Bug Eye, a character developed by Axel Gimenez if I am not mistaken, as he was meant to be in the DIC 90s revamp of He-Man that never was. And the artwork depicts him as reusing Modulok's body. The character is striking in design I must admit. I had difficulties sourcing Tung Lashor's crossbow so I made it from scratch.

Ty-Tonne MOTU Classics custom figure fanart (by super-munkyboy) masters of the universe

Here is Ty-Tonne, a fanart created by He-Man.org user supermunkyboy, which I was asked to recreate in MOTU Classics style. A huge challenge to even consider, I was told to make it in a MOTUC body (as apparently was semi-huge in size as intended). I had to thought about it for a couple of months, and then decided it was not so impossible.

 

Made from scratch hands, neck (poseable in two points), head , lower legs, hammer and tail. Not easy but I was happy with the end result.
