Vakko MOTU 200x Masters of the Universe Gbagok creation action figure Classics

 Here is Vakko, a character created by prominent fanartist "Gbagok". A very interesting concept, that completely seems taken out of the official lore. Made with a MOTU Classics base figure, which is kinda odd as he looks a bit skinny, but surely Mattel would have done him this way, were it to have been released officially. Adapted a bit the design to fit better the Classics line.

Man-A-Taur Masters of the Universe 200X Custom figure

With this, I post all my MOTU customs made up to date, at last. This is Man-A-Taur, a concept of futuristic other-world sort of Man-At-Arms. This character is inspired by a custom I saw being done on a tv program, back on 2003 roughly, Kombai & Co, at a time I didn't know what a custom figure was. Sadly, I havent been able to find the exact program where it appeared. In the program, A Man-At-Arms figure was cut in half, and glued to a half animal, I think a cow, and everything painted black and silver, if my memory serves me right. I have tried to make it cooler and more impressive.

Castaspella Masters of the Universe 200x MYP Custom Figure She-Ra

Here I am finishing to post all our MOTU customs. This is Castaspella 200x style, such a shame the 200x never reached She-Ra characters. Thanks to Gbagok impression, I made my Castaspella version. I used some mini Bratz heads, which are simply wonderful to do the job. In the end, instead of slightly Hindi inspired it looked a bit Viking or tribal looking.

Continuing with my revision of unposted customs. Here it is Evil Man-At-Arms, a very cool idea of fanartist JafariStew. I have added the original pic with the bio in it. It was made with a 200X Zodac in the days that MOTUCs were just starting to come out.

 

Illumina MOTUC Masters of the Universe Classics custom figure

 One of my most famous customs, which curiously I hadn't posted in my blog. The famous Illumina, which we never saw, but always longed to see :) . A truly interesting character which is a pity that haven't made it to any official appearance.

Eelor Masters of the Universe custom figure

This is Eelor, a custom I made long ago based on a MOTU fanart (originally Doompuppet character, re-drawn by super-munkyboy). 

 

Bone Monster Extreme Masters of the Universe 200X MOTU MYP Skeletor monster

 Here it is the Bone Monster, a mighty monster made of bones by a magic machine created by Tri-Klops that appeared on the MYP 200X Masters of the Universe cartoon, and was nearly indestructible and unstoppable, but finally He-Man tricked him to enter a unstable area and he ended up in the bottom of a lava sea.

I've made 3 customs of this character, the other two in a more cartoony style, there is more sculpting and detail in this version and it is darker and more menacing.

Here I keep recovering my old MOTU customs, this is my third version of Anti He-Man, in 200x style.

 

Helios, king of the Fire People 200x MOTU Masters of the Universe 12" MYP custom figure

I had an human torch awaiting a better life, and I come up with the idea of making him King Helios, a MOTU character. He isn't really giant, but you know, a being made from lava/fire I suppose it can easily grow... I was inspired by a gbagok fan art.

Karkinos Masters of the Universe 200x custom

This is an original character to fit in the Masters of the Universe, as a henchman of Mer-Man or maybe a distant cousin of Clawful. Made with a LOTR Ork, Buzz-Off claws and tons of epoxi.

Kendra Mastters of the Universe 200x POP She-Ra custom

Here is an original character of my creation, Kendra, the apprentice of She-Ra. Drawing close the end of the Horde in Etheria, and She-Ra wanting to return to Eternia with his family, starts training an apprentice to protect Etheria from a possible return of the Horde or any other menace. Kendra is a bit like He-Ro, more wizard than warrior.

The custom has been made with a Scarlet Witch body, X-23 boots, Valkyrie cloak and casted Tomb Raider head. Everything else is sculpted, including the mailcoat.

Ziron Masters of the Universe 200x custom

Here is Ziron, another remake of a figure I "customized" when I was a kid. My Mer-Man vintage lost his head and I had to make one with plasticine, in those days I didn't know the existance of epoxi! I have made it with a Dr Midnite, Black Manta hand, Trapjaw belt and a sort of Batman weapon modified as a boomerang.

Continuing the story left in Tultak's bio; after discovering the location of the Rock of Disappearance, Tultak and Ziron travelled to Eternia, and tried to break into Castle Grayskull, obviously He-Man defeated them. After that, Skeletor, who had seen the battle through a Doomseeker, offered them a deal; an alliance to conquer Castle Grayskull, he would keep the castle and his secrets, and the rock will be theirs. This is how a long relationship of henchman/alliance and betrayal started.

Tultak Masters of the Universe 200X custom

Here is Tultak, a original character created by me long ago; one of the best things of customizing is being able to give life not only to fanarts, but also to characters you created when you were a kid. Originally I had a He-Man bootleg, with the body all silver, but somehow I lost his head (as the glue on the torso was weak and it came apart easily) and so I made a plastiline head for him. Somedays ago I thought that I might as well immortalize him and improve him a bit in a 200X style to fit in my collection.

His bio; Tultak and Ziron (the green guy at the side of Two-Bad) were beings from the depths of space that search for magic treasures, specially the Rock of Disappearance, with the power of disintegrate anything in its way. They managed to enter the secret castle of Goljian (another character I invented) and they stealed some of his secrets. Inside, Tultak was clumsy and broke a magic sphere, which imbued him with bizarre powers. They also found out that the rock is actually one of the treasures kept in Castle Grayskull, so they went forth to Eternia. (story continues on Ziron's Bio entry)
