Skin Generation X Marvel Legends custom figure

Here it is Skin, the mutant of Generation X made in his iconic costume. It was a challenging custom but I am happy how he turned out. The curious story of this custom is that he was declared lost by USPS, and remained in limbo for about 3 months, until miraculously it was found and reshipped by the own postal service. Nobody beats Generation X!

the Absorbing Man - Dazzle Power glow in the dark 12 inch - custom 900th! Custom Figure

Here it is! at long last! after much work and efforts, I have mastered the glow in the dark paint in convincing manner! such a feat had to be celebrated, and I decided to make it my custom 900th. At first, many years ago, I thought of doing this custom standard, but I later saw how cool it would be to have it glow in the dark. But I couldn't manage to find a suitable fine, transparent and strong glow in the dark paint, so it got shelved for years on end. But I managed to acquire some 40 year old pot of paint which did the trick! Based on the iconic, even if obscure issue of the Dazzler, where Absorbing Man absorbs Dazzler's mutant augmented ray, and hence he becomes a giant, fuelled by Reed Richards amplifier of Dazzler's power, in form of a tape player. Such extravaganza of science fiction had to be celebrated with a fitting custom figure. Rey Mysterio's Maximum Aggression 12 inches figure looked a unusable figure for any good purpose, but after reading this comic I knew what to do. Not many giants wear long wide jeans! I sculpted it profusely to get the best likeness, made a watch as extra, took chain from a spawn figure, ball from a ping pong ball, tape player made in molten plastic, and painted in fine colour degradations to match the comic's look (inside the pages he is depicted fully green, hence it was perfect the glow in the dark effect). I dedicate this custom to my cousin which sadly passed away last week. May he rest in heaven. Hope you like it, and see you in the custom 1000th ;).

Honey Badger Marvel Legends custom action figure

Here it is the custom my brother made for the Summer Swap at the Fwoosh! the mutant HoneyBadger, in probably her most distinctive looks. SpiderWoman with SpiderGwen head, and X-23 hands. Jonathan sculpted from scratch.

Sunspot Marvel Legends custom figure

Here it is Sunspot, a custom I made in late december for a fellow collector. I was asked for a Sunspot, and the client chose the kind of painting along with the uniform. I happened to have a very good base figure to start with (an apparently failed custom of Ghost Rider I bought headless) and a head of a Human Torch riding a bike, which although the figure was just for little kids and had no value whatsoever, the head was very well done, and suited the character perfectly. After careful sanding, sculpting of the extra parts, and removable flames, here it is, Sunspot.

Cable Classic Marvel Legends X-Force custom figure

2018 have been a very busy year for me, and I still have tons of customs to show! this is a Classic Cable, as in his many 90s appearances (curiously, my first one). The regular figures seem to never fulfill the character. He-Ro's head, LOTR cloak, random fodder weapon, sculpted poaches, random gear and hair and voilà, hardcore rugged classic Cable ready for action.

Beast Hank Mc Coy X-Men Marvel Legends custom

I wasn't satisfied at all with the Toybiz Beast, I suppose I watched too much the TV series and grew fond of their version. So when I had in my hands the ML Beast I completely remake his head, basing on a deluxe wrestler (just eyes and nose were used) and the rest pure sculpting. I also repainted a bit the blue and painted white the claws. Hope you like him.

Jubilee Jim Lee X-Men Marvel Legends custom

A classic of the customizing world; Jim Lee Jubilee. Made with the typical X-23, with Gambit's coat and Scarlet Witch boots. To give her a different touch I made a firework blast effect.

Firefist Acolytes Marvel Legends custom

Here is Firefist, member of various mutant groups such as the Acolytes.

Morph Exiles Marvel Legends custom

Here is Morph, in his Exiles version, in DCUC style. Made over a Dr. Midnite, resculpted a bit his torso, sculpted completely his face (most difficult thing in the custom besides painting that same face) and the cloak of Magneto ML. I hope I have catched his expression without making him smile too much.

Now on eBay.

Siena Blaze Marvel Legends custom

This is my definitive version of Siena Blaze, mutant, villain and cool character. I'am proud of the result, I've always thought it is a underused character with many possibilities and a imaginative power. I took special care with the paint application so she has realistic shadows and highlights.

She was third in the Customfigurewars contest.

Recipe;

Knights of the Zodiac hands

Apoxied rings over the boots, jacket, hair, glasses and gloves, belt and leg bands.

Akuma energy blast

The Protector Orphanmaker Marvel Legends custom

The Protector (or Orphan-Maker) is a casual villain in Generation-X series. There was a pre-ML figure of him, and I thought I would update him to the Marvel Legends style. Base figure was Movie Colossus, with Apocalypse BAF neck plate, and insane amounts of sculpting everywhere. Hope you dig it.
